OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST IN THE MANOR FARM AREA 

ST EVERILDA'S CHURCH 
The original Norman church dates back to 1125-1150, and is one of only two in England dedicated to the Saxon Saint, St Everilda. It is believed that she established a nunnery on the site.

THE CARTSHED
The Cartshed opposite the Tithe Barn has been restored by the Cartshed Trust and is used for storage
THE WILDLIFE AREA
The pond and triangular plot of land around it is a wildlife area, developed and managed by the Poppleton Wildlife Trust. 

In January 2000 a Millennium Seat was constructed  alongside the wildlife area, with a special event to celebrate the installation.

THE MOATFIELD 
The moatfield behind the Church is the site of the original Manor House, dating from the 12th/early 13th century; both fields behind the Church are part of the rescheduled Ancient Monument, protected by English Heritage. 
. THE MILLENNIUM GREEN
The last piece of the jigsaw in the Manor Farm area is the field opposite St Everilda’s Church, which has been awarded funding from the Countryside Agency to establish it as a Millennium Green for the benefit of local residents
