Upper Poppleton Parish Council

Chairman's Report – 12th April, 2004

It is tempting to copy the minute book to compile the chairman's report but I will try to resist, as I would like to give an overall impression instead.

The council has processed all the routine tasks it performs efficiently, and any other requests and correspondence have been discussed and decided upon.

Our council meetings have been conducted in a correct and mostly agreeable way, and although I would like to see more public interest and attendance, Parish Council business is not riveting stuff; with just the occasional planning application causing a stir.

None of this would be possible without my fellow councillors to whom I give my grateful thanks and of course our clerk Mr. James Mackman whose advice and organisational talents have been of great value in the past year.
