Scout Group Newsletter
May 23rd 2007
********* URGENT **********
We have just found out that Mark will be leaving in December, this will leave only 1 warranted leader from January & it will not be possible to run scouts after that date without more leaders.
Please consider
volunteering to become a leader on a part or full time basis, it is a
very rewarding job & provides an opportunity to share in many
activities & provide great experiences for the children. No
qualifications are required - just your time & enthusiasm. Training will be given.

The Scouts will be running their traditional Hot Dog Stall & are
looking for helpers (scouts &/or their parents) to set up from 10am,
run the stall 1-5pm & clear away after 5pm. There will also be a

need to pay £3 for the BBQ.

We have been
asked by the Poppleton Fiddlers if any Beavers, Cubs or Scouts would
like to host 1 or 2 children from Ayr on their annual trip to the
villlage with the Ayshire Fiddle Orchestra. This just involves
providing bed & food as they are busy during the day on Saturday
& leave early on Sunday. It also provides reduced rates for their
concert & celidh on the Saturday & an opportunity to meet new
