Beaver Scouts are young people, usualy between six and eight years old. they make up the youngest section of the scouting family and move up to Cubs, the next section, between when they are eight and eight and a half years old.

Recognisable by their turquoise sweatshirts and pale blue neckers, Poppleton Beavers meet every Monday at 5:45 - 7:00 in the scout hut (map). They enjoy playing games making new friends, going on visits and helping others. There is a badge scheme to reward them for trying new things or improving in existing activities.

To join, please contact S. Middleton on 01904 795826 to go onto the waiting list.

After about four weeks, if you want to stay in the group, you can get a uniform and become "invested" into the "colony" (group) and given a "lodge". These are 3 groups within the colony that you work together with in some activities.
