About Poppleton.Net
Poppleton.Net was created by Steve Craig in August 1999 to promote Internet awareness and provide an online community for the villages of Upper and Nether Poppleton, some four miles North of the historical City of York.

When Steve stood down from managing the site, another village resident, Peter Hawkins, took over responsibility for hosting it through his company Local Telecom Service Ltd..

The main site has not had much work done on it in recent years and Peter is always ready to hear from anyone who would like to get involved in updating the site and keeping it current.
